Riany Kathirithamby

Riany Kathirithamby, half German half Tamil Sri Lankan. Born and raised in Düsseldorf – Germany with periods of working and living in New York and London. Straight after her graduation she started working in the music industry for about 15 years. 2007 she was involved in founding Artist Alife – an Agency for Talent Booking & Management together with Tom Preuss and DJ Loco Dice. The agency established itself very successful in the industry and very soon had an artist roaster of 25 like Martin Buttrich, Martinez Brothers, Guti and many more. She guided Loco Dice from his early steps until his Major singings at Ultra Music, and the heavy promotional phase of his 2nd LP ‘Underground Suicide’, where she was responsible for fashion shoots, & collaborations, art direction of all his music videos and other ambassador projects. Besides this the team was responsible for very successful event location ‘Kiesgrube’ in Neuss, Germany and label ‘Desolat Music’. Riany’s strength lays in Music-, Project- and Event Management for several artists including M.I.A. (5 years), German rapper CRO (2 years), electronic DJ Loco Dice (10 years), Noah Becker (son of Boris Becker) and others.
She worked closely with M.I.A on on several projects such as the ‘Maya, Matangi, M.I.A’ Documentary, the Art exhibition Biennale in Kerela, India, various amount of music videos, collaborations with Burberry, Stella McCartney, Parley Ocean Plastic, her M.I.A. Rizzoli book, her LP’s Matangi and her future one, 5 x touring with her over weeks worldwide, her own merchandise and much more. Riany relocated to Asia in 2019 to start a new chapter, looking at different ways of fulfillment, value, alignment and purpose- personal and business related. She now organizes Holistic Surf & Yoga Retreats under the name of ‘FLOATING YOU’ in Bali. Besides that she works self employed for various venue’s in Bali, was involved at the first Grand Prix of the Moto GP in Lombok (Bali’s neighbouring island) and still does some Artist management occasionally – in Asia and worldwide. During her last 3 years she dove into the balinese market and gained huge knowledge, insights and contacts in the music & hospitality scene in Bali.

Tom Preuss

Tom Preuss is a creative extraordinaire, with an innovative entrepreneurial spirit.
For over 20 years, he has been deeply connected with counter-culture and the world of nightlife. From the dance floor and independent underground scene to major renowned labels.

He co-founded Artist Alife Talent and Management Agency in 2007 with Riany Kathirithamby as his first employee. He’s represented artists such as Loco Dice, Tale of us, Luciano, Chris Liebing, The Martinez Brothers, Marcel Dettmann, Guti, Martin Buttrich and many more. He’s managed Loco Dice from the very beginning, and was a main engine behind his successful career.

With his profound understanding and expertise in youth culture, marketing and creative design, Tom has consulted artists across the music, entertainment and fashion industries.

He’s the mastermind behind many artists’ talent strategies and given guidance to industry and artists’ creative visions. He is the creator of the corporate design and visual Identity of Tale of Us infamous AFTERLIFE brand and the lifestyle brand PEOPLE LIKE US.

In 2019 Preuss entered the tech realm, co-founding digital ticketing and payment platform Grid alongside Trivago Co-Founder and former CEO Rolf Schrömgens and vetsak CEO & Co-Founder Max Gansow.

Tom has promoted events and festivals all over the globe such as HYTE, has co-founded New York’s Schimanski nightclub and Germanys most notorious open air club Kiesgrube, which celebrated it’s 25th anniversary this year.
